Welcome to Bama Bloggers, a one-stop membership site for finding weblogs written by folks from the state of Alabama.
Members of Bama Bloggers have a link to their blog posted on this site, and in return post a banner of some form on their blog linking back to here. In this way, blog traffic to our sites can be increased, and our Deep Thoughts spread farther to more readers (grin). Political views from across the spectrum, comments on daily life, sports preferences, thoughts about life and illness and death, and more besides -- you'll find these things in Alabama as well as in other places, and Bama Bloggers seeks to promote their interest among the greater community of the Web.
Membership is open to any resident of Alabama who publishes a blog, provided that it is not commercially oriented. The Owner/Editor of Bama Bloggers is looking to promote thoughts and fun, not to help peddle stuff. (Sites with Adsense sidebars or similar items will be accepted, at the discretion of the Editor.) No sites containing pornography or extreme vulgarity (excessively foul language or other things deemed inappropriate) will be accepted, either. All applicant sites are subject to review, and may be rejected or removed by the Editor at his discretion. While I have my own political viewpoint (as illustrated on my own blog), membership is nonpartisan, apolitical, nonsectarian, etc., etc., ad inf., ad naus. All members are, of course, responsible for their own opinions; no other member of Bama Bloggers can be responsible for how you may choose to shoot yourself in the foot. (Blogs make such wonderful pistols!)
Members of Bama Bloggers can keep in touch with the news of the group by joining the Bama Bloggers Group on ning.com. Click on Sign Up, and answer the questions. The only requirement is that your blog be listed in the Directory. Joining this is not mandatory, but it is strongly urged.
Welcome, and we hope you'll consider joining us, or browsing the Directory!
